A new 30,000 seat stadium in Parramatta, bringing more spectators closer to the action than ever before in Australia.
Construction of the new Western Sydney Stadium is now complete. Known as ‘Bankwest Stadium’, the stadium officially opened on Sunday 14 April 2019.
Bankwest Stadium:
provides undercover seating for 30,000 people and high-quality food and beverage facilities
offers five levels of premium, corporate and function spaces big screens, advanced technology including wifi and broadcast facilities
delivers improved security and administration along with improved pedestrian and public plazas areas and landscaping around the stadium.
generated approximately 1,200 jobs during construction
caters for 600 to 900 operational jobs
caters for a range of sporting and community uses within the precinct.
Construction of the new stadium is now complete.
The stadium operator is VeneusLive and will oversee the day-to-day management of the stadium.
A Community Consultative Committee has been established to provide a forum for discussion on the Western Sydney Stadium. The Community Consultative Committee is now managed by VenuesNSW. You can access the latest meeting minutes via the Bankwest Stadium website.
Parramatta Swimming Centre has closed to make way for the new stadium.
