FINAL STRETCH FOR SYDNEY FOOTBALL STADIUM

The build of the new Sydney Football Stadium has reached the 90% mark, with the stadium roof and façade now complete. The Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for Sport were onsite to celebrate the milestone. 

All the 4,000 individual pieces of steel in the roof are now in place. As many as 32,804 bolts have been used on the roof structure and 70,982 holes drilled to secure the roof fabric to the steel. 

There are 325 precast concrete panels and 980 curtain wall panels that make up the stadium’s stunning façade.

The roof of the new Sydney Football Stadium has been completed.
