The Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment is supporting local business with almost $300 million worth of contracts awarded to 25 NSW based suppliers and contractors so far.
Acting Minister for Sport, Geoff Lee was in Western Sydney to visit two of the suppliers and see their work firsthand.
In Glendenning, S&L Steel have started the in-factory fabrication of the roof for the new stadium, which is another major milestone for the project. Meanwhile in Pitt Town, Dad & Dave’s Evergreen Turf are already growing the turf for the new world class playing surface.
Minister Lee said the project has been a key economic generator during this pandemic, boosting the NSW construction industry.
