Stadium design update

The design of the new Sydney Football Stadium has recently been enhanced through the detailed design process. However, the overall height and shape has remained in line with the approved Development Application. The main changes of note are illustrated in recently updated stadium renders. They include:

  • The brick walls at the new stadium’s main entry from Driver Avenue have been reduced in size to add a more human scale and folded down on the ends to provide a stronger visual link to the landscaping on top.
  • The materials used for the walls have changed and are similar to the existing brick wall that runs down Driver Ave to the SCG, creating a strong visual connection.
  • Changes to the public domain including changes to the geometry and location of planting.
  • Changes to furniture palette and sports and community precinct at Busby’s corner.
