Select Committee on Barangaroo Sight Lines

In August 2022, a Select Committee on Barangaroo Sight Lines was established. The Committee’s Terms of Reference can be accessed on the NSW Parliament website. 

Infrastructure NSW made a written submission to the Committee on 7 October 2022.

Hearings have occurred on 1 November 2022, 11 November 2022 and 1 December 2022. Simon Draper, the former Chief Executive of Infrastructure NSW, appeared as a witness on 11 November 2022. During the hearing of 11 November 2022, Mr Draper tabled four documents in addition to his opening statement. On 30 November 2022, Infrastructure NSW wrote to the Committee clarifying certain aspects of those documents and several other matters. View a copy of that correspondence. On that day, Infrastructure NSW also provided responses to Questions on Notice and answers to Supplementary Questions. 

Select Committee Report released on 17 February 2023 

Infrastructure NSW’s decisions and actions in relation to Barangaroo have been in line with NSW Government processes, code of conduct and ethical standards. 

Infrastructure NSW notes the recommendations of the committee, and a NSW Government response was prepared and provided to NSW Parliament in June 2023. 

Legal proceedings with Grocon 

Infrastructure NSW has separately released a statement regarding the NSW Supreme Court litigation brought by Grocon in relation to Central Barangaroo, which is available on the Infrastructure NSW website.
