The Parramatta Strategic Framework has been developed by Infrastructure NSW, the Office of the Government Architect, the Department of Planning and Environment, Parramatta City Council and architectural firm Terroir.
The Framework will facilitate better-integrated decision making for NSW Government investment in Parramatta, as it transforms from a key centre to become Sydney’s dual CBD.
A number of NSW Government and Council major projects are proposed for Parramatta in the coming decade, alongside significant private and institutional investment.
The Framework builds an urban logic and spatial analysis to provide a strategic basis for assessing proposed developments in Parramatta.
The Greater Sydney Commission, led by chief commissioner Lucy Turnbull, will assume responsibility for implementing the Framework.
