Darling Harbour Live and ICC Sydney

Infrastructure NSW is managing the delivery of the $3.4 billion 20 hectare transformation of Darling Harbour into a world class convention, exhibition and entertainment destination.

The NSW Government has partnered with the private sector for the redevelopment that will provide Sydney with:

  • Australia’s premier integrated convention, exhibition and events destination known as the International Convention Centre Sydney, or ICC Sydney
  • Reinvigorated public spaces
  • A luxury hotel with around 600 rooms and a new city neighbourhood.

The new state of the art facilities will generate $200 million annual economic benefit for the NSW economy. Across the precinct, the project has created about 3,700 jobs during construction and a further 4,000 jobs on completion.

Construction completion

The project has entered an exciting new phase with the completion of construction on 19 September. This is being followed by a three operational readiness phase in preparation of the official opening in December 2016.
